Abstract

Ecological civilization, as a key pillar for advancing the construction of a Beautiful China in the new era, urgently requires systematic educational activities to cultivate students’commitment to sustainable development. The geography fi eld trip guides students to observe, analyze, and solve real-world problems in authentic settings, off ering a new approach to ecological education. The study, focusing on the Qilian Mountains National Park as a case study, designs educational objectives, determines curriculum content, and establishes an evaluation system around four themes—“physical geography, vegetation types, ecological conservation, and local livelihoods.”The aim is to encourage students to put the principles of sustainable development into practice, and to realize the educational value of geography as a discipline that emphasizes the integration of knowledge and action through hands-on learning.
