Abstract

The cultivation of geographical practical ability for junior high school students is a systematic project that is progressive and runs through the entire process of junior high school geography courses. Based on the new curriculum standards and new textbooks of compulsory education geography, this article constructs a comprehensive system covering the entire chain from six dimensions: goal orientation, activity carriers, stage levels, resource support, time and space environment, and evaluation and testing, providing systematic ideas and experiences for the cultivation of geographical practical ability for junior high school students. Taking the geographical practical activity of understanding rivers as an example, it also provides a model for the implementation of junior high school geography practical activities.
