Abstract

The human-environment coordination is the correct value concept that students hold towards the relationship between humans and the land."Spatial function" refers to the favorable role and service function provided by the human-land relationship regional system after the coupling and coordination of humans and land. It includes three main types of functions: ecological environment function, economic function and social function, and has the characteristics of multi-functionality, dominance and development. The thinking path of characterizing "spatial functions" based on the coupling of human and land elements helps students objectively understand and utilize the relationship between human and land, solve the contradiction between human and land in regional development, and provides disciplinary thinking path support for the cultivation of human-environment coordination. Taking the cognitive process of "spatial function" as the logical thread, the fragmented disciplinary contents related to people and places can be structured, providing the basic structural support of the discipline for the cultivation of the literacy of human-environment coordination. The teaching strategies for cultivating human-environment coordination based on "spatial function" include: clarifying the human-land coupling mechanism by using the cognitive process of "spatial function", revealing the development law of human-land relationship by means of the development and evolution of "spatial function", and proposing the optimization path of human-land relationship based on the coordinated utilization and protection of "spatial function".
