Abstract

The New Sinomaps Press Edition Middle School Geography Atlas is compiled in accordance with the Compulsory Education Geography Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition), with the core orientation of cultivating geographical key competences, and it features both educational value and compilation characteristics. From the perspective of compilers, this paper analyzes the compilation logic of the atlas combined with specific cases, focusing on the four dimensions of geographical key competences. Furthermore, targeted teaching suggestions are put forward. The research aims to provide practical reference for teachers to carry out geography teaching based on the atlas and achieve the goal of cultivating key competences.
