Abstract
This study addresses the teaching challenges of the topic“Relative Motion of the Sun, Earth, and Moon”in the
Zhejiang Education Edition junior high school science textbook, targeting students’misconceptions in spatial cognition and
the insuffi ciency of existing teaching aids. An integrated demonstration apparatus for Sun-Earth-Moon relative motion was
designed. This device adopts a modular integrated design, incorporating components such as a spherical lamp, a Moon model,
and a camera projection system. Through innovations including counterweight balancing and dualperspective observation,
it can simultaneously demonstrate tidal locking, lunar phases, solar eclipses, and lunar eclipses. The experimental apparatus
helps dispel cognitive misconceptions through comparison and dynamic visualization, assists students in constructing the
logical framework of the SunEarthMoon system’s motion, and enhances their spatial imagination and inquiry abilities.
