Abstract

Taking“Exploring Material Sorting in Exogenic Depositional Processes”as an example, this study explores pathways for enhancing students’scientific literacy through geographic practice. It guides students through a series of practical inquiry processes, including“observing phenomena—posing questions—logical reasoning—practical verifi cation— model construction—transfer and application,”to cultivate scientifi c concepts and scientifi c spirit, develop scientifi c thinking such as critical inquiry and evidence-based reasoning, and ultimately improve scientifi c literacy. This study aims to provide theoretical insights and a practical exemplar for integrating science education into secondary school geography education.
