Abstract

With its unique disciplinary perspective, diverse curriculum content and systematic textbook structure, geography has distinctive advantages in strengthening the Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation. In the current practice of integrating education on strengthening the Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation into junior high school geography teaching, there exist three prominent problems: cognition of educational objectives with narrowing, grasp of teaching content with superfi ciality, and teaching implementation with rigidifi cation. On this basis, centering on three dimensions including construction of integrated objectives, design of hierarchical question chains and implementation of inquiry-based activities, this paper summarizes and proposes all-round and whole-process integration strategies. Taking the "Ethnic Groups" section in the People's Education Edition junior high school geography textbook (Grade 8, Volume1) as an example, it illustrates the specifi c application of such integration strategies.
