Abstract

With the deep integration of educational informatization and curriculum reform, AI technology provides new pathways for innovating geography teaching models. This study focuses on junior high school regional geography teaching and aims to explore the innovative practical application and eff ectiveness of the “AI-empowered 6E teaching model” in junior high school regional geography. Taking “the development of greenhouse vegetables in Russia” as a typical case, AI tools are integrated into the six teaching stages of “Engage, Explore, Explain, Engineer, Extend, and Evaluate.” Teaching practice shows that this model can effectively stimulate students' interest in inquiry, enhance their information literacy, regional cognition, and holistic thinking abilities, while also providing strong support for teachers to optimize classroom teaching and achieve personalized guidance.
