Abstract

The“Compulsory Education Geography Curriculum Standards (2022 Edition)”emphasizes the signifi cance of cultivating geographical tool capabilities, but research on the geographical tool capability system in China is still not complete. This article takes the geography subject ability model of the German“Geography Education Standards for Secondary School Certificates”as a reference and constructs China’s“two cores and two wings”geography tool ability system. Its core modules include strengthening the“spatial”core of the geography subject, building an advanced system for geography tool ability, establishing a knowledge development system for geography tools, and innovating the implementation path of geography tool ability. This article aims to provide theoretical references for the teaching of geographical tools in our country.
