Abstract

The concept of human-land coordination is one of the four core competencies in high school geography and represents the value elevation of geography’s understanding of the relationship between humans and the land. The manifestation of the human-land relationship varies under different spatio-temporal couplings, showing significant comprehensiveness and regionality. This article explores the human-land relationship of water resources and their utilization in Xiamen under diff erent spatio-temporal coupling conditions, enabling students to recognize that the human-land relationship is dynamic and the key to coordinating it lies in people. It aims to make students rational thinkers and active actors of the human-land relationship, and to implement the cultivation goal of the human-land coordination concept.
