Abstract

Abstract: At present, the geography curriculum in high schools is undergoing an unprecedented great reform. With the full implementation of the new curriculum standards and the use of new teaching materials, the new geography curriculum has changed a lot , compared with the traditional education teaching, in various aspects such as teaching philosophy , teaching contents , teaching methods , teaching evaluation and so on . This change not only provides the opportunity of development for the high school geography education, but also puts forward higher requirements for the high school geography teacher's professional development . This article focuses on three main factors which have an effect on the teacher's professional development as well as the possible ways to promote the teacher's professional development so as to promote the deepening and development of the geography curriculum reform, thus cultivating more innovative talents for our society.
